Once we have done all of these you are to write a description of what the weather is like in Montpellier for the 4 different seasons
A 'sunny' day is probably our favourite type of day. It is the perfect weather for outdoors activities because there is a lot of ‘sunshine.’
When it is too 'hot', it might get a little uncomfortable because the weather can be 'humid' or 'dry'.
Humid refers to a type of weather condition where there are extremely small drops of water in the air.
Parts of Australia may experience 'heatwaves' during summer. A ‘heatwave’ is a series of days (or weeks!) when the weather is much hotter than usual.
When the 'heat' is unbearable many people go swimming to 'keep cool' or stay indoors in front of the air conditioning.

On the other hand, when the sky is full of 'dark clouds', that’s a sign that 'rain' is likely. Perhaps a 'storm' is about to hit us.
A storm is extreme weather with very 'strong winds' and heavy rain. It’s usually better to stay indoors when there is a storm.
When it is raining, we need to use an umbrella or we take shelter somewhere so that we don’t get wet.
A 'shower' is a short period of rain. We can also experience 'a drizzle' which is light rain.
We could probably get away with running quickly to our destination if it's just a light drizzle!

There are different types of storms including a 'thunderstorm'. This involves a thunder and lightning, with heavy rain.
Heavy rain can also lead to 'flooding'.
A flood happens when a large amount of water collects in a normally dry area.
Floods are caused by continuous, heavy rain. When this happens, it is probably best to stay at home and be safe!
